I think the SH3 plot was better , but thats just my opnion... anyway with everything else you say i agree with , and anyone with a PS2 i highly reccomend SH1-2-3 and soon-2-b-4

i forgot my b-day is coming up so i'll start inserting my wish list in people's ears then i'm sure to get SH3. and my opinion on two was that it was saddly not scary but boring it had great craphics but not creepy enough to match the first one.

Make sure you dont get like 50 copys of it dude... lol...I thinknthe sh3 plot was better... the riddles are tougher... the monsters more thought out... the plot comming right up behind sh1 ( sh3 is the extention of sh1 by 17 years , incase you dident know )  I think its the best 1 yet

Whoa a Silent Hill 4 thread! I recently imported this, I should be recieving it soon, but I've watched my friend beat it a couple times, got the 21 sacraments ending and mother ending. INteresting stuff..

Well, I'm not going to import it. I don't have the money or the Japanese PS2. I will, however, be at whatever store gets it first on it's release date. Last year I was at Gamestop at 11 AM when it opened for SH3 and it hadn't come in yet, so I had to go to Fye and get it there. It's not an extremely popular series, so I don't have to worry about them being sold out or anything. It's kind of insulting, seeing the huge lines for Zelda and Metroid and no line whatsoever for Silent Hill games, which are some of the best out there. I mean, I don't even have to bother reserving them. It makes me a sad freakishly obsessed with Silent Hill coyote.

Still, I can't say I'm as excited as I was about SH3. Sure, the trailers impressed me way, way more, but I never actually got to play it. I got my hands on a playable demo of SH3 months before it came out, though, and that's what really excited me.

Where I live Silent Hill sell's out fast, then again, people here are dark and moody so it does work out well. I had to reserve a copy since my local gamestop sold out first day it had them.
I love the story line of the series, especially 2's. I'm hoping Silent Hill 4 is as good as the 3 before it..

Not many people here play Silent Hill. I heard of one person who does. He is your basic "Yo! All you're base! I'm cool! It's over!" kinda guy. The kind of guy who thinks it's cool to know all of the internet's stupid fads. He just said "Silent Hill 2 is the freakiest game ever. There are monsters that are all legs!". Yeah, so yeah, the store was empty in the morning. I got the first copy. So yeah, I don't have to worry about not having Silent Hill 4 when it comes out.

And yeah, 2's storyline was great. It was kinda lacking a protagonist and stuff, so it was still kinda boring.

Yeah, was kinda boring. On a side note, I just got the UFO ending on SH3 and the Escape ending on SH4... I feel good knowing I can set down that game.
This once was okay, alot better than 3, but didnt have the story of 2. And I hate Cynthako..((Sadiko like monster))

Heh, that one. She is freaky. I never knew her name, but all of the Silent Hill fans who spoiled themselves called her "Sadako Mouth". Cynthako? That's a new one. So she is Cynthia, eh? More spoilers, yay! *slaps self* I already know that 3-headed monster which I called a "screechbaby" is called victims # # and # or something like that, but there are more than one of them, so I doubt it's any big deal.

Oh, and as for SH3, I beat it several times and with all endings in 2 weeks, beating it in my first sitting, as well. I can't quite do that with SH4, though, unless I get it on a weekend. I need to get it the day it comes out, though.

No, seriously, I've seen pictures of her dying, so yeah. And yeah, the revenge ending is great. Harry kicks James's ass. Yeah, but The Silent Hill Song is the best part.
