I recently upgraded to the advanced christmas pack to give a fursonal ID for $20 from the
Department of Furry Safety as a gift to my mate and I noticed they are now doing many of the things I had suggested in my last review, so I got a reprint of my ID as well. This time it arrived in
a large envelope, unlike the standard sized one I got last time. This made sense because I upgraded to their Christmas package for and therefore recieved a lovely picture of me and my mate together.
The letter is pretty much the same as the last one. At first glance,
the ID also appears the same, however now it has been laminated and feels much more professional as a result. They say to sign it with a Sharpie, I have not done this yet (I need to practice signing "Sunookitsune" first), but from past experiences I'd say let it sit somewhere for a while after signing. Sharpies have a way of smudging
than becoming permanent. The
back of the ID now contains a copyright message, which adds to the professional feel of the card. Now for the best part (in my opinion),
the photo. It is a fantastic print on photo paper, and it really shows what a wonderful artist KwiK is. As usual, I was provided with digital versions of all the art created, and I tweaked this to be my wallpaper. Without exageration I can say that this is the best picture of me that has been drawn to date.
Okay, enough prasie, on to the few negative things that still remain. Actually, I can only think of one: signing with a Sharpie on lamination. There are a few reasons for this. First, as I already mentioned, there is a good chance it'd smudge. Secondly, signing in that manner has a drastically different feel to it (much less friction on the tip of the pen) than signing on paper. As a result, the signature will be come out different on the ID than on anything else. My recommendation is to have the buyer provide a signature, either from a Wacom (if they have access to one) or by mailing in a signature that will than be scanned. If they do neither, than the Sharpie is their last option, but the other two would look much nicer and more professional.
I never saw my mate's ID (it was shipped directly to him), but I assume the quality was the same as mine.
Cons:
-Sharpie on lamination
-Paper on back smaller than ID
Pros:
-Awesome art
-Great "photo" of me and my mate

Score: 9/10
