I feel natural wearing a tail and ears and fuzzy booties and a collar. If you don't or it's not your cup of tea, I don't mind. But don't yank my tail of I will bite you so hard yo mama will be feeling it

*hugs Raef and pulls her tail while doing so* O.o hehehe..*hides*

I like wearing fursuits, just cause it's fun to dress up as something you're not. though I've had a bad experience..I was a Clifford once for one of those book sales at elementary schools (for my brother's school) and a bunch of little kids got together and were pulling me across the gym by my tail.. Surprise

I've come to a theory that the main reason furries love fursuits is escapism from humanity; a lot of nasty or complicated things and stress are related to the everyday human life, and when you put on a fursuit you cease being that human. Instead you're a cute animal with no such worries as taxes, work pressure or anything. You are something different and something free.

Another reason would of course be the being in touch with your inner animal, and/or a method to be something that you want to be; because so far human science can't really change man into animals, hot, furry and expensive costumes are the near-only option  Real Happy

considering the pain the players in my furre-roleplay are going through right now ( having me as a game master, hehe ) and the amount of violence and misery in that play ( wake up in the middle of a bloody revolution, anyone? ), I daresay that can't be the only reason Evil at least not that cute animal with no worries part. About escape from reality ( yeah, that's what it's called, let's face it ) - certainly. Don't see how it should be something bad, though. People do it every day in front of their TVs and PCs.

Well naturally there's exceptions. And of course, that theory isn't without holes because I don't do roleplays or anything like that, I'm mainly just thinking of the fursuiting part; the moments when someone just goes out to town dressed up as a dog to have fun or furcon activity etc.

And even so really, what happens in roleplays is pure fiction instead of something actually happening IRL. But yush, you do have a point indeed.

Aye, I don't think it's bad either.

And truth to be told, most likely there's just as many reasons as there are fursuiters. Or even more.

Hiyas.

I'm a fursuit builder, so I have a slightly different perspective on it.  I do wear suits, and have fun with them, but as far as wearing things go, most of the time a suit is too much bother, I just wear a tail.

But making a suit is an amazingly neat experience.  You take this heap of plastic and fabric and random odds and ends, and suddenly there's a character there.  And seeing furs wearing the stuff I've made is great!

I'd love to have wolf fursuit too. I think it would just be fun to just go to a big city like Tokyo and run around the streets with a couple of friends in suits, like they did on Jack@ss with the panda costumes. I'm not in to the whole sexual part of furries, I just like the artwork (the non graphic artwork) and I love anthros Smile

I tell you now the words of Red Moon:

"From the great spirit was born the Wolf
And Man became it's messenger."
---In other words man was decended from wolves.

Run, wolf warrior, to ends eternal
Through the wreckage of the death of the day
Scent of silence under starlight spinning
A captured beast within a human skin
