Also, is there any reason that the FTP keeps locking up and saying 'can't log in!' every other day?

lol nice job dave. uh, no idea raef. unless it's just the server fuxx0red up again. by the way dave, for whenever you get back... be sure to file a support ticket to ask for our site to be moved to the new server. they just set up a new server that is far faster and more stable, I spoke with a tech. that'll fix any of the bullshit we've been catching lately. though they may have to bring the site down for a little while.

the FTP will go down for like, half an hour to fourty five minutes when I'm in the midle of uploading around twice a week. Maybe it's jsut me getting on at the wrong time every day, but I was wondering if anything else was up.

'scuse me for being n00bish, but what's the FTP? -.- Oh, and the portal's been working ok... a couple nights ago it wouldn't load for a while, but I refreshed it a couple times and it worked.

FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is how people who are hosted by KitsuNet upload files to their site. And look closer at the portal. The recent posts, random image, and counter are gone right now. The great part is I can't find a recent backup, so I'm probably going to need to code those again. Sweat

they weren't very useful features anyway, i never used them. not to mention that the counter didn't work

Correction: The counter worked just fine. The variable I was using kept getting to big and resetting itself to zero. I think it was using a tinyint before (maximum of 32,767), when I recode it, it will be using a bigint (can hold up to 9,223,372,036,854,775,807 just try and overflow that).

Actually the portal is mostly working, the gallery, counter (as you said) and the recent posts list are what's broken it seems.

Well I went back to a (very) old backup of the portal, but I'm still using the current template. I should be able to restore its functionality easily (probably after work today).
