A while back I came across the site and trailer for a new movie by Dreamworks called Over The Hedge. It's apparently based on the comic strip of the same name; albeit quite loosely. It's a kids movie, but it's furry at least and the raccoon is voiced by Bruce Willis XD.

There ya go; check it out :F.

And no one must forget the original comic: http://www.overthehedge.com
Whilst it has lost some of its geniousness over the years (the first years are honestly bloody funny), it's still nice enough of a strip.

I for one am waiting for this movie because I love the strip. Plus, Bruce Willis is always a positive thing and Over the Hedge seems to be one of those very few CGI movies where furry animals have been done nicely. RJ is just too damn cute...

According to the trailer the movie would seem to be somewhat fun, so when that's added to the other points, shortly said I'm waiting for this movie. Should turn out nicely; Dreamworks has never made anything utterly crap after all.

*thinks about the nice fact that since this will be an animation for a wide audience, it will mean merchandise and therefore RJ plushies that Flinty can buy and cuddle*

I remember catching the trailer for the movie while seeing the new zorro movie (I think). I am very much awaiting this movie. At first I was a little skeptical, cause all it showed was a bunch of animals very much confused by a hedge. However, when it got to the parts where the animals were digging through trash and having a jolly good time I began to even chuckle a bit at the characters antics.

It's been a while since I've seen a good furry movie (last being Cats Don't Dance about a month ago) so I think that it would be a breath of fresh air for the community, especialy since it is based off on of the furry outlets: comics.

Agree with all the above.  I saw a trailer/sneak-peek on the Madagascar DVD last night (yay!!).  It's about 10 minutes or so, and introduces the voice actors with some fun previews of the movie.

*whines*  Don't know if I can wait til summer to see it though.  Sweat  Oh well, got a whole semester of Law School to keep me busy til then.

Don't have to, since the USA release date has now been revealed and it's in late spring: May 17th to be exact. Then again, if one lives outside US, there's going to be even much more waiting.

Also, the site has updated with a new teaser trailer. Pretty nice, even if Bruce Willis seems to be bored constantly (judging by his sound).
