So yeah, I love fursuits and i'm planning on getting one. I'm a big fan of all of Scribble's work as well as Arend Studios. However, they are a bit pricey. I know I can make payments, but it's still pricey whether I pay 50 bucks a month or all 2000 at once. It's still 2000 bucks.
So I've decided on Jax. I've talked to him on AIM a few times and i'm looking around 900-1000 dollars for my suit. It's a simple suit, nothing fancy, especially being my furst suit, I don't want to go all out.
So what have you all hear of Jax's work? I've seen his site and so far love his suits, but I've never talked to anyone who actually owns one of them....

I'm not really into fursuits so I don't know much about them. All I know is one of my friends use to make tails and made real quality tails, implementing home-made but ingenius devices to make them top-of-the-line. I'll try to get in contact with him sometime and maybe pester him into getting back into it

Before you go on and commissions someone...I have to tell you:

Scribblefox's suits may look very impressive but they are very poorly built. 

Arend's, I'm not sure of because I've never talked to anyone who has one. 

And Jax, he doesn't put any hard work into his.  My friend commissioned a partial suit..and when he said he sent the suit to her..it was just a head and hand paws.  The head was thrown together as if rushed.  Very poorly made.

My friend has one from her, and she absolutely LOVES it.

She also has two from LatinVixen and says that Latin's stuff isn't all that good either.  Rose Quoll is definitely someone you should look into.  I know I will be soon.

I think some people expect too much from suitmakers.  (Though I will say that with how much Scribble charges, his stuff had better be well made!)  But most of us are amatures, working out of our basements, with limited abilities.  We don't have Hollywood budgets to make these things with, and they're not meant for anything other than walking around halls in.

I think Jax does quite good work, and so does Arend studios and Latinvixen.  I've seen their suits up close, though I don't own one myself.  They're very nice suits.  Of course Rose Quoll is wonderful too, but her stuff is handmade just the same as anybody else's.
